What is the IBBG?

The International Bus Benchmarking Group (IBBG) is a comprehensive programme of benchmarking urban bus operations. Currently the consortium is made up of 15 medium and large bus organisations located around the world. The group is jointly owned and driven by the members, with project management, administration, and research carried out by the Railway and Transport Strategy Centre at Imperial College London.

IBBG Objectives

The International Bus Benchmarking Group (IBBG) was established in 2004 to provide a confidential forum to share experiences, compare performance, identify best practices and learn from one another in order for member organisations to improve performance. All IBBG activities are carried out within a framework of confidentiality, ensure and honest and open information exchange. Any information that is released externally is therefore anonymised.
